Make College Better

I am both proud and pleased to announce the beginning of this new blog. Make College Better, as the title suggests, is intended to make your college years more productive, more enjoyable, and more successful. A combination of fresh and original content, as well as reviews to and links of the best resources for college students that are already on the web.

This website was created to fill a hole that I have noticed in the current array of blogs on the internet. While there are certainly many great blogs on how to be productive and successful (Lifehacker.com and Zenhabits.net are a few of my favorites), sometimes the content just doesn’t apply to my, or your, college life. While I do love to read a tip about making my Gmail more efficient, I don’t really need to see that article on children’s books. Some topics are just not relevant to our lives, which is where Make College Better steps up.

I pledge to provide only the most relevant and useful content to make college better! The articles will focus on everything that matters to a college student: living cheaply, study tips, dealing with stress and roommates, time management and productivity, and computer hacks to make your homework go by faster.

Additionally, this blog will add a twist missing from many other productivity and success blogs - namely, things that will make your college days more enjoyable. This may be a link that will brighten your day, a roundup of party ideas, ways to trick out facebook, or reviews of new movies and music that you should check out.

The combination of all these ideas boils down to one well known and quotable phrase: work hard, play hard. With this attitude in mind, there is no reason why you can’t make college better than it already is!
